Supply Desk are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Radlett from September.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will provide tailored support to pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

The successful candidate will have a patient and nurturing approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable, although individuals with relevant transferable experience and a genuine passion for education are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across the school.
  • Support children with SEN to access the curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals.
  • Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and interventions.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support with classroom preparation and general learning resources.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN is advantageous.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within schools.
