Learning Support Assistant – Primary SEN Schools
Location: Andover and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and nurturing Learning Support Assistants to work within Primary SEN schools across the Andover area.

This position involves supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them engage in learning and develop socially and emotionally within a positive school environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Delivering classroom support to pupils with SEN

  • Working with individuals and small groups to support learning

  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities

  • Promoting pupil wellbeing, confidence, and independence

  • Supporting behaviour management strategies where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Enthusiastic and patient approach to working with children

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Previous experience in education, care, or support settings is desirable

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Compliance
Candidates must have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be prepared to obtain one prior to employment.
