Location: Templecombe | Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm | Full-Time | Immediate Start

This specialist provision supports boys aged 6 to 13 with social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside speech, language and communication challenges.

The environment is structured, nurturing and highly supportive, designed to help pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with education. Small class sizes and strong staff ratios allow for a personalised and consistent approach.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support that enables pupils to access learning and develop key life skills.

You will build positive relationships, support behaviour strategies and encourage emotional regulation, helping each child to feel safe and valued.

You will support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, assist in delivering adapted learning activities, and contribute to maintaining a calm and purposeful classroom environment.

Encouraging independence and resilience will be central to your role.

A minimum of 6 months childcare experience is required, ideally supporting children with SEN.

You should be patient, resilient and able to respond calmly to challenges. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
