Learning Support Assistant – Secondary SEN Schools
Location: Winchester and surrounding areas
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Contract: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within Secondary Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across the Winchester area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
Requirements
A passion for supporting young people with additional needs
Previous experience in education or care settings (desirable but not essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
Compliance Requirements
Applicants must have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
