Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you want a role where you can genuinely change a child's day-to-day school experience?

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who requires additional support. This role offers the chance to build a strong, positive relationship with a child and help them grow in confidence, independence, and learning.

You will be supporting a student with needs such as ADHD, ASD, and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Working alongside the SENCO and teaching staff, you will ensure the support provided is consistent, tailored, and impactful.


  • Supporting one pupil throughout their school day, helping them access learning in a way that works for them
  • Adapting activities and lessons to suit their individual needs and learning style
  • Encouraging communication, emotional regulation, and positive interactions
  • Using patience and understanding to manage behaviour and build trust
  • Celebrating achievements and helping the student develop independence
  • Working closely with teachers and specialists to follow and contribute to EHCP targets
  • Keeping clear records of progress and sharing updates with the team

  • Someone who is naturally patient, caring, and understanding
  • Experienced working in a SEN school
  • Graduate from degrees such as education or social sciences
  • A positive and proactive individual who enjoys working with children
  • Someone who can stay calm under pressure and respond thoughtfully
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Anyone with experience in SEN (ADHD, ASD, behavioural needs) or a strong interest in this area
  • Individuals who are open to learning and developing new skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
