Location – Caerphilly
Hours – Monday to Friday 08:30 – 15:30
Pay - £12.82 per hour
Year Group – Year 2

We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil that has recently been diagnosed with ASD. The pupil is currently on a full-time timetable and is based within a Year 2 class. I am working in partnership with the school to recruit an educator who can support, motivate, and nurture the pupil. The pupil mainly needs support with their social and emotional skills so a lot of encouragement will be needed within this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support and motivate the pupil during all aspects of the school day
  • Encourage the pupil to develop their social and emotional needs; e.g socialising with other pupils and working in a team
  • Liaise with the class teacher on the development of the pupil and the potential areas of development
  • Build a trustworthy relationship with the pupil
  • Support other pupils within the class – you may be required to support smaller groups with the 1:1 pupil
  • Support the class teacher with general classroom duties

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced Child only DBS that is registered on the Update Service
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council
  • 2 Professional Based References
