About the Role

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you'll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential by providing high-quality classroom and individual support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom, working with individuals and small groups to promote learning and engagement.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND, where required.
• Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment that encourages confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities across a range of subjects.
• Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and wider school staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop strong social and emotional skills.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCOs, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child reach their full potential.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
