Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, recognized in the UK.
*Demonstrated experience in teaching at the KS4 level.
*Strong understanding and experience in specialized teaching strategies for SEN students.
*Ability to design, implement, and adapt curriculum and lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of SEN students.
*Exceptional skills in creating and maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
*Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Attributes:
*Additional qualifications or training specific to Special Educational Needs (e.g., PGCert, NPQSEN).
*Experience with multi-disciplinary approaches to education and well-being.
*Familiarity with current educational technology and resources tailored for SEN teaching.
*Evidence of ongoing professional development in SEN education or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
*Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs and levels of SEN students in KS4.
*Assessing and recording student progress towards their individual learning goals and adapting teaching methods to support their achievement.
*Contributing to the development and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO, parents, and relevant professionals.
*Engaging with parents and guardians to provide updates on progress and to support learning outside the school environment.
*Participating in and contributing to staff training and development opportunities related to SEN best practices and policies.
*Creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, understanding, and curiosity.
