We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in Years 3–6, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Location: Burnley
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract: Full-Time 8.30am – 3.30pm
Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across KS2
  • Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support pupil learning and progress
  • Assist with planning and preparing learning resources
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Support children’s social and emotional development

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and supportive
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Be adaptable and able to support a range of learning needs
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
