Key Responsibilities

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, respected and encouraged to learn.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using assessment information to identify areas for development and inform future planning.
  • Provide appropriate challenge and support to ensure all pupils are making good progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and establish clear routines and expectations within the classroom.
  • Support pupils' wider development, including their confidence, independence, social skills and well-being.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure pupils receive consistent support.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and take an active role within the school community.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and current teaching and assessment practices.
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • A creative and engaging approach to lesson planning and delivery.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
