Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, well‑structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum, ensuring the needs of all learners are met.
• Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to shape future planning and targeted support.
• Encourage pupils to think independently, develop problem‑solving skills, and engage confidently with their learning.
• Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to wider school development.
• Build effective relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and wellbeing.
• Take an active role in staff meetings, school activities, and ongoing professional development.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS2.
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching and assessment methods.
• A commitment to supporting pupils to become motivated, independent learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reflective, proactive, and eager to engage in continuous professional development.
