Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver stimulating, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum, ensuring the needs of all learners are met

  • Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to shape future planning and targeted support

  • Encourage pupils to think independently, develop problem-solving skills, and engage confidently with their learning

  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to wider school development

  • Build effective relationships with parents and carers to support pupil learning and wellbeing

  • Take an active role in staff meetings, school activities, and ongoing professional development

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS2

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching and assessment methods

  • A commitment to supporting pupils to become motivated, independent learners

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Reflective, proactive, and eager to engage in continuous professional development
