Are you a Primary School qualified Teacher in the York are? Are you currently looking for your next local role? Talk to Teaching Personnel! We are seeking a Teacher for a year 3/4 class to start immediately.

 

The School.

A rural school on the outskirts of York, this primary school has a friendly team who aspire to teach the children from the local community to a high standard. The close community feel of this school makes it a very welcoming place to work. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and they hold high standards for teachign and learning, encouraging pupils toward high high attainment in a positive and inclusive way.

 

The Role

As a Class Teacher, working on behalf of Teaching Personnel, you will be following the roles and responsibilities as set out by the school. This will include (though not be limited to):

  • Setting up the class environmenmt and organising displays, additionally preparing teaching materials
  • Teaching lessons to the class according to the curriculum, as well as working with small groups of pupils
  • Marking work and communicating with parents and caregivers on the pupils progress
  • Directing and managing the work and assistance of TA's and Learning Assistants in the class 
  • following safeguarding procedures and working alongside social workers and other health and social care professionals
  • being a part of the organisation, and delivery of school trips, assemblies and parents evenings
  • attend meetings and training outside of usual working hours

 

Working Hours

The usual working pattern will be 8.30 - 3.30, including any time needed to complete marking, tidy and reset the classroom and ensure that you are ready for the next days teaching.

This will be Monday to Friday, Term-Time only.

 

Pay

Pay will be negotiable dependant upon experience, but will be paid through us, on a weekly basis according to what has been worked the week previous.
