A welcoming one-form entry primary school in Skelmersdale is seeking a committed Year 3 Teacher to join their established team from 2nd November 2026 on a maternity cover contract through to August 2027.

The Role
You will take responsibility for a Year 3 class of 27 pupils, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that support all children to achieve their full potential.

A full-time Teaching Assistant providing general academic and classroom support.
A full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting a pupil with an EHCP.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching within a primary school setting, or is an enthusiastic ECT ready to begin the next stage of their career.
Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Delivers engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire a love of learning.
Maintains high expectations for behaviour, attainment and presentation.
Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Is organised, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits
Competitive daily rate from the start of the assignment.
Pay in line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR), moving onto the equivalent teacher pay scale from Week 12 of the booking.
Full-time maternity cover contract through to August 2027.
