KS1 Teaching Assistant – Tameside

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for the next step in your career?

Do you want to work in a supportive SEN department?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working with a very supportive school based in Tameside that are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work with students on a 1:1 basis. In this role, you will be working with pupils that have additional SEN needs, focusing specifically with autism awareness.

Currently, the school has multiple mixed ability pupils that have troubles adjusting to a mainstream classroom setting, and therefore need additional support via a Teaching Assistant. For this role, you would need to be comfortable working with early years students on a 1:1 basis, with additional support being offered if needed. Alongside controlling the pupil’s behaviour management within a classroom setting.

Job Requirements:

  • 1:1 work with students that have additional needs.
  • Understanding of working with pupils that are not familiar with a mainstream classroom setting
  • Safeguarding understanding within a mainstream primary school
  • Experience working with KS1 students.

About the role:

  • PAYE rates of: £85 - £95 per day
  • Weekly pay through school timesheets
  • Located SK14, easily accessible from anyone in Tameside, Stockport and Manchester.
  • Full time – Monday to Friday
  • Immediate start following Teaching Personnel registration.
