Job Title: Part-Time General Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Location: Dewsbury, WF13

Contract: Part-Time (Monday to Wednesday)

About Us: Teaching Personnel is proud to represent a vibrant school in Dewsbury, WF13, seeking a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 students on a part-time basis (Monday to Wednesday). This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team committed to providing high-quality education and support to our students.

Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our Key Stage 1 students. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide individualized support to students, and contribute to the positive learning environment of our school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of Key Stage 1 students.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably within a school setting.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (desirable but not essential).
