Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position in the WF8 area. This role is to commence in May and will run until December. The position is at a school rated as 'Good' by Ofsted, known for its supportive staff team and positive learning environment.

The Role:

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality education to students, ensuring their academic and personal development. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Additionally, you will assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment, implementing effective classroom management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience for pupils.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole school training events.
  • Uphold the school's policies and ethos.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
