Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Beaminster?

We are working with a welcoming school that is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team from October/November 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children on an individual basis and is passionate about helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within KS1.
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
• Adapt activities and provide appropriate support to meet individual needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Build a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Contribute to the wider classroom and school community when required.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Have previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
• Have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, although this is not essential.
• Be patient, compassionate and consistent in their approach.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident working as part of a wider school team.
• Be enthusiastic about supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
• Be reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive difference.
