Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a KS1 Primary Teacher for temporary, ongoing supply work across a variety of primary schools in Newark and surrounding Bassetlaw areas.

This KS1 Primary Teacher opportunity would suit a teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and is looking for flexible work across different school settings. While we have opportunities within Newark, our wider coverage is focused around Bassetlaw, including the surrounding areas.

Position: KS1 Primary Teacher

Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire and surrounding Bassetlaw areas

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As a KS1 Primary Teacher, you will support pupils across Years 1 and 2, delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive classroom environment.

Working as a KS1 Primary Teacher in Newark and the surrounding Bassetlaw area can provide the flexibility to work across a variety of schools and year groups. Opportunities may include day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements depending on school requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging lessons across Key Stage 1
• Plan and deliver learning activities that meet pupils' needs
• Follow school curriculum and planning requirements
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Manage the classroom positively and effectively
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
