Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to work within a secondary school in Weymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, enthusiastic and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will play an important role in supporting the school's catering provision, helping to ensure students and staff receive a friendly and efficient service throughout the school day.
Your duties will include:
Helping with the preparation and serving of meals
Assisting the catering team during busy service periods
Cleaning kitchen areas, equipment and utensils
Washing up and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
Assisting with deliveries and stock management
Following food hygiene and health and safety regulations
Supporting the kitchen team with general day-to-day duties
Providing a welcoming and professional service to students and staff
The ideal Kitchen Assistant will be:
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Friendly and approachable
A strong team player with a positive attitude
Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
Organised and willing to take on different responsibilities
Committed to maintaining excellent hygiene standards
Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or school environment would be advantageous, although not essential
