A ‘Good’ Primary School within the Burnley area are looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant on a full- time basis. The role is due to commence upon the strat of the new academic year in September 2024, intiially for one academic year.

As a Teaching Assistant, you would be required to:

  • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons.
  • Work across classes (approx. 28-31 pupils) to encourage a positive attitude to learning.
  • Be able to work within year 1 supporting Phonics and speech/language development.
  • Effectively support pupils in their preparation for SAT’s exams.
  • Assist in the management of behaviour.
  • Work with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide extra support where needed, specifically targeting maths, reading, and writing abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
