The Role

As a Key Stage 2 ECT, you will play a vital role in inspiring pupils and helping them develop the knowledge and skills needed for the next stage of their education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can flourish
  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress to ensure positive outcomes
  • Supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL needs
  • Establishing high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote pupil success
  • Engaging fully with your ECT programme and ongoing professional development opportunities

About You

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is eager to make a positive impact within Key Stage 2.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it before September
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • The ability to plan engaging lessons that meet a range of learning needs
  • A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential
  • Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning
