Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salford that is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to play a key role in supporting children during the early stages of their education. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils to help create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development, helping them build the foundations for future learning and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support within Key Stage 1, working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND and EAL.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a productive classroom atmosphere.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children's progress and wellbeing.
  • Monitor pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

About You

The ideal candidate will be committed to helping young children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
  • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
  • Confidence supporting early reading, writing, and maths development.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
