About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Interventions Lead to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you will play a key role in identifying learning needs, coordinating targeted interventions, and supporting students' academic progress and wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor students' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of intervention programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, student progress, attendance, and outcomes.
- Adapt intervention programmes and approaches in response to students' progress and changing needs.
- Support students who may have additional learning needs, including SEND, helping them to overcome barriers and engage positively with their education.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Provide appropriate pastoral and emotional support to students where required.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students, helping to create a supportive environment where they feel encouraged to succeed.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and relevant staff regarding students' progress, engagement, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, external professionals, and the wider school team where appropriate.
- Contribute to the development and review of intervention strategies and support plans.
- Support the school in identifying and addressing barriers to attendance, engagement, and achievement.
- Assist with the preparation of resources and materials for intervention sessions.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple interventions and priorities effectively.
- The ability to assess students' needs and adapt support accordingly.
- A proactive, reflective, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
- The ability to monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and evaluate the impact of interventions.
- The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with teachers and other professionals.
- A commitment to inclusion and ensuring all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
