Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a 'GOOD' Primary School to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team from January 2027.

This welcoming Church of England primary school is seeking an experienced and motivated HLTA who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development. The successful candidate will play a key role across the school, delivering high-quality interventions, supporting whole-class teaching, and leading learning in the absence of the class teacher.

As a HLTA, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 when required
  • Support the learning and progress of pupils both individually and in groups
  • Lead targeted interventions to raise attainment and accelerate progress
  • Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare and assess learning activities
  • Support pupils with a range of educational needs, ensuring every child can achieve their potential
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and uphold the school's Christian values

To be successful in this role, you should have one or more of the following:

  • HLTA Status (Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification)
  • Experience working within a primary school setting
  • Experience delivering learning activities and interventions independently
  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Foundation Degree in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Education
  • Degree-level qualification in Education or a related subject
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Training in SEND, Autism, Speech and Language, SEMH or Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Read Write Inc., Little Wandle, Sounds-Write or other phonics programme training
  • A supportive and welcoming leadership team
  • Enthusiastic, well-behaved pupils who enjoy learning
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • A caring and inclusive school community
  • A chance to make a lasting impact on children's educational journeys

If you are an experienced HLTA looking for an exciting new opportunity within a thriving primary school, we would love to hear from you.
