Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. As an HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons across various subjects and age groups.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support students' learning and development.
  • Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional assistance, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist with the assessment and evaluation of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behavior and well-being among students.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of all students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Hold a relevant qualification or be willing to work towards one (e.g., HLTA status, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude towards supporting the diverse needs of students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and upholding the highest standards of practice.
