Teaching Personnel is recruiting a History Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Middlesbrough, with an immediate start available. The department is looking for a specialist who can deliver engaging, well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4 and contribute confidently to an established Humanities team from day one.

History is a subject that rewards great teaching — the ability to bring the past to life, challenge students to think critically, and connect historical events to the world they're living in. The school is looking for a teacher who does exactly that.

What you'll be doing:

• Planning and delivering History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Developing students' source analysis, essay writing, and critical thinking skills
• Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Contributing to Humanities departmental planning and whole-school events
• Supporting students preparing for GCSE History examinations
• Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

To be considered:

• QTS or equivalent
• A degree in History or a closely related discipline
• Proven experience teaching History at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
