History Teacher - Doncaster - Education and Training

Academics are a specialist education recruitment agency and are recruiting a History teacher to work on a flexible, temporary ongoing basis across a large variety of secondary schools throughout Doncaster.

The role will provide a platform for you to share your passion with secondary students across a variety of schools in Doncaster.

Position: History Teacher

Location: Doncaster

Contract: Temp, Flexible Ongoing Supply

Pay: £140-£195 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start date: ASAP

The Role:

While working as a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 & KS4, driving pupils to develop a deep understanding of historical events and perspectives, while strengthening their critical thinking, analytical and evaluative skills. It is an exceptionally important opportunity to tell students why history matters.

The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work. There may also be opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging History Lessons across KS3 & KS4
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Support pupils progress and engagement
• Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
• Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
• Provide general secondary cover when required

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching History, or relevant secondary teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• A passion for physical education and training
