About the school: It is our specialist expertise that, from early childhood through to the teenage years, will help our pupils to find and realise their true academic and personal potential, guiding them on the, not always smooth, journey from pre-teen to young adult. We are focused on delivering a forward-thinking, progressive teaching and learning experience, which sets our pupils on a clear path to find what we refer to as their ‘True North’.

Position Available: History Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive history lessons to students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore historical concepts and develop their analytical skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and foster academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in history or a related field.
  • Demonstrated passion for history and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Experience working with secondary school students preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
