History Teacher

Teaching Personnel

£153 - 238 per day

Temporary | Full Time

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a full-time temporary History teacher for a role based at an Ofsted Good school in the Longsight region of south Manchester. The role would begin ASAP and would run until the end of the school year initially, however there is the possibility that the role could be extended into the next academic year (this will become clear closer to the time). The school is accessible easily via public transport and is a short walk to the nearest tram stop that will take you into and out of Manchester within 15 minutes.

The role will involve planning and delivering, to a high standard, History lessons to both KS3 and KS4 whilst also being responsible for ensuring that students remain engaged and focused at all times and that student’s ability levels are taken into account when delivering work. The school would like a candidate who is able to be responsible for student attainment levels and can track and liaise important student information with the Head of Department. The Humanities department is of a decent size, this allows for lots of collaboration opportunities and cross-curricular teaching. The role may also involve the occasional lesson of covering other Humanities subjects – however it is predominantly History based and the work would be prepared in advance if you were asked to cover Geography or R.E.

  • Pay: £153 - £238 per day depending on experience
  • Must have QTS in a humanities subject.
  • Excellent opportunity for an ECT looking to gain more experience in a school before accepting a full-time permanent role.
  • Large department that allows for collaboration – will also mean that there are plenty of people to ask any questions to each day should you need help.
