Pay: £88.50-£100 per day 

About the Role

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a confident cover supervisor to work with an ofsted "Good" rated school in the Southamptin area. The school need someone who can teach from given plans and manage a classroom without teach support. The role would also include small group work to support Year 6 students with SAT preperation in Reading and Spelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide teacher cover for a whole class Year 3-6 
• Manage behaviour and progress learning 
• Be confident giving whole class inputs 
• Support Year 6 students in small groups
• Hold a good understanding of reading and spelling strategies 
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cover supervisor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant - this would be an excellent first step for an ECT
• Strong understanding of the national curriculuam 
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality practices.
• Enhanced DBS check (support available if required).
