Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are currently recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for temporary, ongoing supply work across a range of welcoming primary schools throughout Doncaster.

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant position offers the chance to make a real contribution to classroom learning while gaining experience across different primary settings and year groups in Doncaster. The role can involve delivering planned activities, leading interventions and providing classroom cover when required.

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £100 - £140 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will support pupils and teaching staff across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Doncaster can involve supporting whole-class teaching, delivering planned learning activities, working with smaller intervention groups and stepping in to provide classroom cover where needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities
• Provide whole-class cover when required
• Lead targeted interventions and small group activities
• Support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing

Candidate Requirements

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at Higher Level Teaching Assistant level
• Previous experience within a primary school environment
• Confidence supporting learning and delivering planned activities
• Ability to manage a classroom positively and effectively
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
