Higher Level Teaching Assistant New

HLTA – Full Time

Location: Warrington (Penketh area)
Start Date: September 2026

A primary school in the Penketh area of Warrington is seeking a confident HLTA to support teaching and learning across the school. This is a full-time role and will involve covering classes, delivering interventions and supporting teachers where required.

This role would suit an experienced TA looking to step up or an existing HLTA seeking a new opportunity.

The Role:

• Delivering planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
• Providing PPA cover for class teachers
• Running targeted intervention groups
• Supporting pupils with varying abilities
• Assisting with planning and preparation where required

The Ideal Candidate:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Confident leading a classroom independently
• Flexible and adaptable across year groups
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Proactive and reliable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
