Are you a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next opportunity in education? This is an excellent opportunity to join a trusted education recruitment agency, supporting schools while gaining experience in a range of settings. We have roles available on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term, and permanent basis.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups and subjects.
  • Lead small group and whole-class learning activities.
  • Provide targeted interventions to help pupils make progress.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create an engaging learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support pupil achievement.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a recognised Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Have previous experience working as a HLTA or in a similar classroom support role.
  • Be confident leading whole-class learning and delivering lessons independently.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
  • Be adaptable and able to work across different schools and age groups.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
