Higher Level Teaching Assistant New

Are you a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are currently recruiting for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist SEN school in Patchway, supporting pupils from early years through to sixth form.

The school caters primarily for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and provides a supportive, nurturing environment where every learner is encouraged to reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning across a range of age groups (infant to sixth form)
• Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions
• Assisting with lesson planning and adapting resources to meet individual needs
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold HLTA status or have relevant experience in a similar role
• Have experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly autism (desirable but not essential)
• Be patient, empathetic and proactive in their approach
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
• Show a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
