A highly respected school in the Blackburn area, renowned for its dedication to excellence and holistic development of its pupils, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or experienced Level 3 to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis from June 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver learning activities to pupils under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher, adjusting activities according to pupil responses.
*Assist in the planning of learning activities, contributing to the selection and preparation of teaching resources that meet the diversity of pupils' needs and interests.
*Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting concerns to a designated person and providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.
*Take on a lead role in the management of other teaching assistants including the allocation and monitoring of work, and the provision of support and training.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans, and other strategies.
*Work collaboratively with teachers to evaluate pupils' progress and to plan future activities.
*Participate in training and development activities and staff meetings as required.

Requirements:
*HLTA status or equivalent qualification recognized by the Department for Education.
*A strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
*Experience working in a classroom environment and supporting pupils of varying abilities.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
*A genuine passion for education and for making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
