Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Great Missenden, seeking a passionate Performing Arts Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through creative expression and performance while being part of a supportive and dynamic department.

The Role

This role is about more than teaching content — it’s about confidence, collaboration, and creative growth. You’ll encourage students to explore performance, develop their talents, and express themselves through the performing arts.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Performing Arts lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Teach across areas of Drama, Music, and/or Dance depending on specialism
  • Inspire students through practical, performance-based learning as well as theory
  • Foster a culture of creativity, teamwork, and self-expression
  • Support and contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities
  • Assess and monitor progress using effective differentiation and feedback strategies

The Ideal Candidate

You’re an enthusiastic Performing Arts specialist who can motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

You will ideally:

  • Hold QTS, PGCE, ECT status, or equivalent
    (unqualified teachers with strong relevant experience are welcome to apply)
  • Have experience teaching Performing Arts in a secondary school setting
  • Be confident delivering practical and engaging lessons
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and subject knowledge
  • Bring energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for the performing arts
