Are you an experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can take on greater responsibility and make a meaningful difference to pupils' learning and development?

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed HLTA to join a specialist education setting in the Poole area from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who is confident supporting classroom delivery, leading activities and helping pupils with additional needs achieve their personal and academic goals.

We are looking for someone who is ready to bring their knowledge, enthusiasm and leadership skills into a role where they can make an immediate impact.

As a High Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the setting. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide engaging learning opportunities, support pupil progress and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Leading small group sessions and targeted interventions
  • Delivering planned learning activities independently when required
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and individual learning needs
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and engagement in learning
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to support pupil development
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider education team
  • Providing guidance and support to other members of the classroom team when required

 

We are seeking an experienced HLTA or Senior Teaching Assistant who is confident taking on additional responsibility and can quickly become a valued member of the team.

  • A recognised HLTA qualification, or
  • Previous experience working as a High Level Teaching Assistant, Senior Teaching Assistant or in a similar advanced support role
