Head of Religious Education New

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Start Date: November 2026 Oxford

MPS/UPS + TLR 1/2 (depending on experience and school structure)

Fixed Term, Full Time (Maternity Cover)

The successful candidate will:

• Lead and manage the Religious Education Department.
• Deliver outstanding RE lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.
• Inspire students of all abilities through engaging and innovative teaching.
• Promote high standards of achievement and progress.
• Support the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
• Contribute to the wider spiritual and pastoral life of the school.

• Is a qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Religious Education or Theology.
• Has a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Is passionate about Catholic education and student success.
• Can inspire, motivate and develop both students and colleagues.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
