A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Enfield is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of Modern Foreign Languages to lead their successful MFL department from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MFL teacher or current middle leader looking to take the next step within a supportive school with high expectations, strong leadership and a clear commitment to academic excellence.

The successful candidate will:

Lead and develop the MFL department across KS3 and KS4

Teach French and/or Spanish to a high standard

Drive outstanding teaching, learning and student outcomes

Lead curriculum planning, assessment and departmental improvement

Support and develop staff within the department

Promote a positive and engaging language learning culture across the school

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and inclusion
