A secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support students with their learning and development across the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in the classroom and during lessons
• Working with individuals and small groups to help improve their understanding
• Providing additional support to students who require extra help with their learning
• Helping teachers prepare resources and maintain a positive learning environment
• Supporting students with their confidence, engagement and progress
• Assisting with behaviour management and encouraging positive attitudes towards learning
• Building positive relationships with students and staff
• Supporting the wider school team with day-to-day duties where required

Graduate Teaching Assistant – The Candidate

The school is looking for a motivated, patient and enthusiastic graduate with a genuine interest in working with young people.

Previous experience working with children or young people would be beneficial but is not essential. The role would suit graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, SEN or wider education.

Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build good relationships with students are essential.
