Pay: £92 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colchester is looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term contract through to July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a future in teaching, educational psychology or child development. Working alongside experienced teachers, you'll gain valuable classroom experience while supporting pupils both academically and socially throughout the school year.
Your Responsibilities
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and creative lessons
- Help children build confidence and develop key learning skills
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
- Provide additional support for pupils who may require extra guidance
- Prepare classroom resources and assist with day-to-day classroom activities
- Contribute to creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Holds a degree in any subject (2:2 or above preferred)
- Has a genuine interest in pursuing a career within education
- Enjoys working with children and helping them achieve their potential
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn
- Can work effectively as part of a supportive school team
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential
