Graduate Teaching Assistant role in the High Peak

Are you wanting to develop and express the skills/knowledge you’ve learnt during your degree?

Teaching Personnel and currently working with several schools in the high peak area that are keen to bring in someone with the following traits:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Previous experience working in school is desirable but not essential.
  • Positive and punctual in a working environment.

Hopefully if these traits match yourself, then the role could be for you. The majority of the roles will be flexible positions, which can therefore allow you to work suitable days, around your own preferences. However, if the role is something you began to love, some full time positions can become available dependant on your time within the schools.

The main roles and responsibilities will consist of:

  • Help the current staff maintain a positive working atmosphere.
  • Guide students through their learning and development in school life
  • Work in accordance with the school’s ethos and ethics
  • Monitor and help control behaviour throughout the class.

This position can be a brilliant opportunity that can hopefully build and develop your desired skills. Along with the development and progression the ideal candidate will also receive:

  • £350 - £450 per week
  • Opportunity to work in ‘good’ Ofsted schools
  • Support and training on the job.

Working in a school environment will require a updated DBS and if you don’t currently own a DBS, you will be able to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
