Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the team at a client secondary school based in Old Trafford.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, assisting both teachers and students in achieving their educational goals.

This position starts in September, and will run full-time until the end of the school year, in July 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Support classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in any subject area.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with young people and supporting their educational development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience working with secondary school students.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and software.
