Position Overview: As a Teaching Assistant at our primary school, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and facilitating the learning experience for our students. Working closely with classroom educators, you will assist in the implementation of instructional activities, provide individualized support to students, and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of our school community. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners and contribute to their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and prepare instructional materials and resources.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students during lessons and activities.
  • Assist students with special needs or learning challenges by implementing individualized accommodations and interventions.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support classroom management efforts and reinforce positive behavior strategies.
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
  • Assist with clerical tasks and other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively as part of a team, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to upholding the values and ethos of our school community.
