A forward-thinking and inclusive Additional Learning Needs provision in Barry are looking for a Graduate of any subject to join their diverse and experienced team of staff.

The provision team are looking for a graduate who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and engaging to work with their learners in KS3 (ages 11 – 14); supporting them as they learn and develop. The pupils that you will be working with have a range of Additional Needs, and benefit from an adapted curriculum of core subjects, optional subjects, and essential skills. As a graduate, the skills that you have gained from your degree are a huge benefit to the learners within the provision; you will be getting involved in delivering lessons and leading activities for pupils on a 1-2-1 and small group basis, as well as supporting students emotionally and behaviourally where required.

 

Role Details:

 

  • Full Time, 32.5 hrs per week.
  • Working with pupils with Additional Needs, ranging from ASD to Social, Emotional and Mental Health Challenges.
  • 1-year initial placement, excellent for those looking for a rewarding ‘year out’ or those considering going on to further study within education/psychology or SEN or teacher training.
  • Pay from £415/week, including Holiday Pay Entitlement.

 

Requirements:

All our school staff require an Enhanced Child Only DBS and EWC Registration which we can help in applying for, as well as…

  • Degree Level Education (or equivalent)
  • Safeguarding Level 2 Certificate (provided by Teaching Personnel)
  • Minimum 3 months experience working with children and young people, or those with Additional Needs (desirable)
