Teaching Personnel are recruiting graduates to join our Future Teachers Programme, designed to support aspiring teachers as they transition from university into the education sector. This programme is ideal for those who want practical school-based experience prior to enrolling on a PGCE or other teacher training routes.

The Role: Cover Supervisor

Successful candidates will be placed in secondary schools in the Andover area as a Cover Supervisor.

Your role will involve:

  • Covering lessons during short-term teacher absences
  • Supervising students while they complete pre-set work
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour
  • Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all pupils

No lesson planning, marking or active teaching
Gain first-hand experience of life in the classroom
Excellent preparation for future teacher training

  • Learn the syllabus in your subject area and link it to your degree knowledge
  • Support pupils with coursework and examination preparation
