Smile Education are thrilled to be working alongside a vibrant secondary school based in north Birmingham. We are currently seeking recent graduates to join the team as Graduate Academic Mentors from May 2024.
We are currently seeking 2 Graduate Academic Mentors to join this supportive team from May 2024 until the end of the academic year. Academic Mentors will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lesson content to classes of pupils across KS3 and KS4. The successful applicants will be delivering lessons across a range of subjects, developing key skills within the education profession, such as classroom management and differentiation. Graduates from any subject are encouraged to apply, however applicants should have a genuine interest in supporting pupils or pursuing a career within education.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates considering a role within education, offering paid experience before committing to teacher training routes. The school is located in north Manchester, within proximity to Atherton, Legh, and Little Hulton. The expected salary range for this role is between £85-110 per day, depending on experience.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to be recent university graduates, graduating on or after July 2022. This can be from any subject or degree pathway and applicants do not need to have prior experience working with children. A vested interest in education and providing the best possible support for pupils is essential.
