Geography Teacher – Wincanton

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a passionate Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Wincanton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students through engaging lessons covering the physical and human aspects of Geography.

The Role:

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
• Develop students’ geographical knowledge and understanding.
• Support students with coursework and examination preparation where required.
• Differentiate lessons according to student ability.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Establish positive relationships with students.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department.
• Contribute to school activities and enrichment opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong Geography subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom management.
• Passionate about engaging students in the subject.
• Able to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
