Supply Desk is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Portsmouth.

You will be joining a supportive department where you can make a real impact on students' progress, confidence and enjoyment of Geography.

• Teach engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons

• Develop students' knowledge and understanding of geographical concepts

• Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge learners

• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs

• Monitor and assess student progress

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment

• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities

• Encourage students to develop curiosity and a genuine interest in the world around them

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in Geography

• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level

• Ability to teach engaging and well-structured lessons

• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

• Ability to motivate and challenge students of different abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach

• Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development
