Supply Desk is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Portsmouth.

You will be joining a supportive department where you can make a real impact on students' progress, confidence and enjoyment of Geography.
Teach engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons
Develop students' knowledge and understanding of geographical concepts
Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge learners
Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
Monitor and assess student progress
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities
Encourage students to develop curiosity and a genuine interest in the world around them
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Geography
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Ability to teach engaging and well-structured lessons
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to motivate and challenge students of different abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development
